About a year an a half ago, I got an email from a local diva who was looking for a photographer. She was starting her own boutique, Diva-911, in Lake Stevens and was looking for a photographer to collaborate on some projects. I went to an event that she was having at her new store and we immediately clicked. I couldn’t believe there was such a fun store so close to my house in Lake Stevens…with so many things that I just loved: big bright purses, really cute hats to wear to the bus stop in the morning before school while dropping off my daughter, and of course amazing jeans! What I really loved was Jackie’s great positive attitude. I just love being around positive people, so hanging out with her is always fun. I signed on and did a few events with her, during my non wedding season. Now I do some shoots every once and a while, whenever I can.
What amazes me, is how far Diva 911 has come in only a year and a half. She has designed her own Diva-911 signature line, and this shoot was for a cool Seattle magazine: The D-list. I have actually done one other shoot for this mag before…last year. Such a small world. She will also be having a debut fashion show (TBA)…so lets support our local girl!
Thanks to Lake Stevens Self Storage Depot for letting us use an empty unit! I’ve been eying this place for about a year now (while driving passed it to get to Diva-911) and it was the perfect location for this shoot!
