I grew up with a camera in my hand. I can remember a field trip to the Woodland Park Zoo in 3rd grade….Some of the snapshots from that day had my finger over the lens, most were blurry…but they evoke the memories of that day. I can remember that it was cold, but fun….and we laughed in the back of the bus all the way there and home.
When I turned 16, I received a Minolta SLR camera…and I never looked back. I loved the blur in the back ground, and the space it created in images. I was hooked. Then that morphed into Yearbook Staff, then lots of images from across the country, then when I had my dear Estelle, I knew I wanted to make a living by taking pictures…now she is 6 and I just can’t believe it. She was my favorite…and most convenient model during those first years of business. Thank you Estelle for being such a great model!
Yesterday I bribed her with a bunch of balloons and some hot chocolate, and we went out to shoot….again…one my favorite children to photograph…..
