April 28, 2010I love period movies. I love Pride & Prejudice, Marie Antoinette, Elizabeth, Emma, Becoming Jane and the list goes on. I can't get enough of them. I recently got Netflix (with streaming video through the Wii!! Amazing!!!)....and I have found a bunch of period movies that they don't have at the Blockbuster...and I'm in heaven! I've been watching them while editing, and its been fun! So imagine my delight when I walked into the room where Rachel had her wedding dress hanging, and it was this amazing Medieval Fairmaiden dress (amazingly made by hand by Rachel's mother!). It was like a dream come true! I loved it! First we have to rewind a minute. I met Rachel & Josh when they entered my True Love Wedding Photography Give Away. They didn't end up winning, but I loved their story and the support they had from their friends and loved ones, so
Bellingham Wedding Photographer | Amy & Dana K.I.S.S.ing in the tree | Kaylee Eylander
April 22, 2010I am officially in love with Bellingham! After doing 4 of my last 6 of my last engagement sessions in bellingham, I am so excited every time I get to go! One of my favorite places! We had so much fun getting to know Dana & Amy as we made our way down to their Kissing Tree ** LOVE THAT! What a gorgeous couple! Can't wait for their big day!
It all started with a spider....well, that's not exactly true, they actually got reunited by a spider. A brown recluse to be exact. Hence the picture below! So they dated in High School, and found each other again after Phil was hospitalized after his spider bite got hugely infected. The Doctor's thought they might have to amputate, the infection was so bad and in is elbow joint! eek! He was there for a while, and Trish came to visit her old high school friend. Love blossomed and the rest was history. I love that Phil confessed that he always thought they would end up together...like marry other people, get divorced, then find each other again and grow old together. I'm glad they skipped all that and reunited now....they are a perfect match. He's loud, spontaneous and (more than) slightly inappropriate...in a very entertaining way. And she gets all his jokes,
Bellingham Engagement Session: Bowling, Railroads and Water, Oh My! | Kaylee Eylander Photography
April 19, 2010This was my most unique engagement session to date! I loved it so much! When I met Cat and Todd, and they told me that they met while working on a fishing boat in Alaska...I knew that we would have to use that in our Engagement session somehow! I LOVE that they jumped right on board and loved the idea too! They have a great story! They had their first date and first kiss on the Solstice, and will be getting married this year on the Solstice as well! LOVE LOVE LOVE! Thanks so much to the lovely Wedding Planner Brittany at BBJean Events for sending this amazingly creative couple my way! View Portfolio | Newsletter for Specials |
When I first met Meagan and Ryan back in January, I loved hearing their story! I loved hearing that he proposed during halftime on Super Bowl Sunday. He owns a diner in Bellingham, they have 2 pugs....benny & holly (named after Eggs Benedict), and then I ask (like a I usually do), "So.....do you love your dress?" And right then and there she drops the bomb..."Yes! I love it! I got it at Kleinfelds!" Oh my goodness. I just about fainted! How? When? Are you on the show? So many questions!!!:) There had to be a story behind this, and I had to find out what it was! Meagan is very close with her grandmother, and grandma's favorite show is Say Yes to the Dress...and when she found out that Meagan was getting married, she decided to fly Meagan, her mom and herself to New York to find the perfect wedding
I had so much fun with Jillian & Nate today. It has been so much fun getting to know this great couple...with whom I have many things in common. My Mom & my husbands mom helped to get us together- so did they. I went to Arlington High School- so did she. I'm older than my husband, so is she. We attended the same church as children. We know tons of people in common, but alas, it was not until our wedding consult did we finally meet. Talk about 7 degrees of Kevin Bacon! Pretty Crazy. We spent a slightly windy...but not rainy morning at The Seattle Center and hanging out at EMP! It was so nice to enjoy the MC Hammer that they had piping in through the out door speakers! We don't usually get to enjoy music for out door shoots...so this was a real treat! These guys are

Ah! I heart Bella Umbrellas…especially in Gasworks Park | Seattle Wedding Photographer
April 10, 2010One of the wonderful things about being a photographer in Seattle, is that we always get to problem solve. We never know if it will be drizzling, raining, or like last weekend, a full on Squall! It was incredible. Luckily, Sarah had thought ahead and rented some Bella Umbrellas. I am in love with this idea!!! They are such a great pop of color for a bridal party...its something different and just wonderful! I would love to shoot these umbrella's in every color! If you are looking for something different to do at your wedding! Try these Bella Umbrellas!! Wedding Venue: Lake Union Cafe Umbrellas: Bella Umbrella Dress: A Princess Bride Couture Bridal Salon
Gasworks...oh my dear Gasworks! How I do love you! There is something about this amazing park in Seattle, that I keep coming back to. It has so much to offer! Hills, Rusty pipes, and a view of the amazing Lake Union! After the getting ready, we headed to Gasworks for a First Glance Session....in the middle of 45 degree weather! Yikes! Sarah and Chris were quite the troopers! The wind was perfect for the style of hair and dress...So gorgeous blowing in the crazy wind! Later in the afternoon, a huge squall came over Lake Union and we retreated to the covered area of the park...thank goodness that was there for us! By the time we got to Lake Union Cafe, we were frozen, but it was every numb toe and limb!
