Downtown Everett Wedding | Modern Seattle Wedding Photographer
October 30, 2010So I’ve known Curtis since I was about 15ish. He was in my youth group as a kid….And when I met Shannon for the first time, I thought I recognized her….but just couldn’t put my finger on where I knew her from! I finally figured it out when I arrived at the Premier Ballroom for their wedding. Her sister walked in….and she looked at me…I looked at her and it clicked. We played soccer on the same team when I was in kindergarten! Wow! That was over 25 years ago! Why in the heck to I have a memory for stuff like that, but when it comes to remembering where my keys are….I have a big problem! Anyway! It was so much fun to have some familiar faces at this fun fallish wedding in the uber cool downtown Everett! I LOVE this new ballroom, btw!
These 2 were such love birds! I love it when a couple can’t keep their hands off each other and there is evident chemistry there….these 2 were not lacking in either of those! It makes my job a breeze. They were laughing the whole time…again…this makes my job capturing their true romance and personalities so easy! LOVED IT!
Here are my favorite things about this wedding:
- These guys met in 8th grade, and found each other again later in life….and to see them together…you can just tell it was meant to be.
- In their ceremony they had the officiant have their back to the audience so they were facing toward the crowd. Loved it!
- Shannon was super budget savvy and borrowed lots of table linens and lanterns for center pieces. If you know someone who just got married, ask if you can borrow…anything!!:) Its a great way to save some cash, and people sometimes don’t even know what to do with all the items they have been left with after their wedding…they would gladly let someone borrow them!
I just loved this bouquet! And to make it even better, Shannon’s sister put all the flowers together for her wedding. If you have talented or crafty friends or family, its a great DIY way to save some room in your budget!
