So I've known Curtis since I was about 15ish. He was in my youth group as a kid....And when I met Shannon for the first time, I thought I recognized her....but just couldn't put my finger on where I knew her from! I finally figured it out when I arrived at the Premier Ballroom for their wedding. Her sister walked in....and she looked at me...I looked at her and it clicked. We played soccer on the same team when I was in kindergarten! Wow! That was over 25 years ago! Why in the heck to I have a memory for stuff like that, but when it comes to remembering where my keys are....I have a big problem! Anyway! It was so much fun to have some familiar faces at this fun fallish wedding in the uber cool downtown Everett! I LOVE this new ballroom, btw! These 2 were such love birds!

Rainn Wilson & Craig Robinson….Benefit for Mona Foundation | Seattle Event Photographers
October 26, 2010Wow. What a night! We had such a great time at the Rainn Wilson (you may know him as Dwight Shrute from the Office) & Friends (many, many friends) Benefit Show for the Mona Foundation on October 23 at the Paramount Theatre. I had no idea really what to expect when I heard that Holly of Perfectly Posh Events was putting on an After Party, but I love that The Mona Foundation supports universal education, and I knew I wanted to be a part of it. I was just discussing with my husband how amazing it is to see our 1st grader going from being able to read a few words, to being able to read pages in less than 2 months of being at school this year (props to Mrs. Forbes!) and I can't imagine her not being offered that education because she is a girl, or because we
Green trees at Broadway Hall | Bellingham Wedding Photographer
October 21, 2010Lots of vintage, lots of green, lots of laughing....this was an awesome wedding. Not only was there so many fun details...there was so many fun people! We started at a cute old house in Fairhaven...I LOVE FAIRHAVEN! :) Meghann's dress was the perfect dress for her too! It was almost a champagne peach and it was perfect for her lovely red hair and skintone. I was so in loved with the vintage lace and flower in the empire waist! So lovely! The bride had so many thoughtful and special details...a pocket watch that was her dad's, a really cool roseory and some cool jewelry that she made herself...she is a DIY kind of girl and this wedding had so many fun DIY details. I had to get a shot of her Coco Chanel perfume...mmmmm! I couldn't get enough of these yellow and green bouquets! They were perfectly designed by Kim from The
The Ezra Matthews Story | Please Pray for this sweet little boy!
October 21, 2010There are few things in life as confusing as a child with cancer, especially a child with a very aggressive form of it called Neuroblastoma. A couple that we know has a child with this cancer and has been giving regular status updates on Facebook and their blog. Its amazing to me how many people have been captivated by this story and have begun to pray for this little boy that they don't even know. Would you take a moment right now to ask God to heal this sweet little boy? If the only thing we have is hope...I'll take it! The Ezra Matthews Story from Kyle Matthews on Vimeo. Snoqualmie Ridge Golf Club Wedding | Modern Fun Wedding Photographer
October 19, 2010Laughing... more laughing...more laughing....I love it when a couple laughs together...it tells me that their whatever comes their way, they are going to be able to at least see the humor in it. Sara & Adam fit that to a tee. They just enjoy life, plain and simple....and so do their friends! They had the best crazy wedding party ever! They all were having such a great time...it made my job so easy. With the beautiful backdrop of Snoqualmie Ridge Golf Club, we had such an amazing time at this fabulous wedding! I loved that one of the bridesmaids made this shirt for Sara! How fun for a gift for the bride! I was just dying over these Purple Wedding Shoes. You know I love a colored wedding shoe! I love it when a bride has a great relationship with her dad! So precious! This moment in the day always catapults me
Craven Farm & Swan's Trail Farm | Family Fall Fun Time
October 18, 2010There is something about Fall that just makes me want to do some fun DIY crafts and baking!:) And head to a local pumpkin patch and have some good old fashion fun! I have to say that this year we headed to 2 different farms: Swan's Trail Farm and Craven farm, both in the lovely Snohomish. I loved them both so much! Swan's trail farm had such a great petting zoo...and Craven had a really fun corn maze. They both were so fun!
Lake Wilderness Lodge Wedding | Seattle Wedding Photographer
October 15, 2010We had so much fun at Leah & Dom's Wedding at the Lake Wilderness Lodge in Maple Valley. They were super laid back...and when the rains came.....as in Washington, they always seem too...they shrugged and said...oh well. Later on, the drops went away and we headed out doors to take some great images. They sure do make cute kids...I hope there some more on the agenda! There is a story with these shoes: Let me see if I can get this correct! Dom is a shoe guy....Leah is a shoe girl. And when they met...they were in shoe heaven! Dom bought these shoes as a gift for Leah on the day he proposed....and then he bought them for the guys to wear in the wedding....and she brought hers along to be photographed in.......Super cute. Engagement Session in Snohomish | Quirky, Fun and a Little Random
October 12, 2010Wow! I met Tiffany a while ago...and when I heard about the amazingly creative and fun details (collecting big antique keys to use at their wedding) and saw her fun personality...I knew we would get along just great! We headed to Snohomish for her and Dan's Engagement session. We started at a super old junk store...complete with old stoves in the front and amazing signs hanging on the walls. When she mentioned that she saw the same place I did....I knew we were on the same quirky, different wave length....then she mentioned a random field that was collecting random articles of farm equipment, machines and cars. When I hear random...I know that I like what I am going to hear! It was glorious!!!!:) If you see a few rain drops....uh...yes....these guys were troopers and continued on in the downpour. Luckily...they were laid back....and I....game to keep shooting! If I
After the Wedding 101 | Its good to Remember!
October 7, 2010I have to say, when meet with couples who are about to get married, one of my favorite things is to ask them how they met. Usually this puts a sparkle in their eye, they look at each other and...as always, they both have different versions of the story. I love to watch them navigate trying to decided who's version....and the long or short version...they are going to tell me. I'm a girl, so of course I like the long version...with all the long and drawn out details. Why do I ask this question? I ask because it helps me see how these strangers work together, it gives me a little peek into their world, their relationship. Usually at this is time in their relationship, newly engaged couples still love to tell the story of how they met, and it reminds me: Its Good to Remember. I have been married for
Turquoise weddings shoes. Imagine my delight when I walked into the amazing corner suite at the Chrysliyss Inn in Fairhaven, and what do I see?? Peacock feathers in the bouquet and turquoise wedding shoes. I could tell, it was going to be a great day! I love **any** colored wedding shoes. They just make me happy...I don't know why...maybe because its a little surprise under all those layers of fabric, that when they do make an appearance, its pretty special! I am just in love with these turquoise blue wedding shoes! Who cares if you are in flip flops by the end of the night...its all about the pics! Heidi Hull Designs created a special sparkly necklace for Breann! I loved that she custom designed it just the way Breann wanted for her wedding day! After the ceremony, we headed to the Marina next to the Bellingham Ferry Terminal for some wedding party
