Palm Trees in Palm Springs | Sunshine makes me Happy. Literally.
November 4, 2010I love the sun. I love to travel. And I also love palm trees…So for our 8th year wedding anniversary my husband planned a little get away to Palm Springs. It was a short 3 day trip…But I knew if I had some sun, a pool, some heat and a good magazine, I would be relaxed in about 2 seconds flat. This was the perfect little get away for me and my handsome man. :)
First of all…if you have never had the delight of flying Virgin America airlines…you are missing out! Not only did they treat us like celebrities when they overheard that it was our 8 year Anniversary, the ambiance, technology and service was entirely amazing. And it wasn’t any more expensive than the other airlines. They brought us some lovely Karma California Brut and 2 plates of the yummiest Cheese and Fruit Platters (with the best Brie, Swiss and yummy dates and figs!)…AND 2 veggie plates with Hummus! I just about fell out of my comfy leather seat! They have won me over…and I will always try to fly with them if I can. Its worth checking out.
We stayed at the amazingly beautiful (and empty!!!) Worldmark Indio. It was incredible! I loved the huge condo space and the pool and lazy river (yes…I did say lazy river!!) were glorious.
So many palm trees. yummy. I wished I could just put one in my suitcase and bring it back with me…just so I could stare at it through my back window. I could just pretend…that I was in California again!
Notice there is like no one there! This pool was my home for 3 days….except for the 4 hrs a day we spent floating around the lazy river….I can’t wait to go back here!
So we flew into LAX and drove to Palm Springs from there. Neither of us had ever been there before and we loved seeing the fields of wind turbines!
I love sunny places so much that I’m waiving all Travel Fees to Destination Weddings….If you know anyone that is getting married and would like a fun, crazy Destination Wedding Photographer….Please send her my way!
