Well...yesterday was my birthday. I've tried many different methods of celebrating my birthdays. As a kid, my mom went to great lengths to make sure my birthday was always celebrated in style....in Kindergarden we went to Chucky Cheese...twice! In my mind, it was disneyland....especially the ball bin! In 8th grade, we had a huge indoor, outdoor party, with a dance in the garage, and a huge game of tag in on our 5 acres. When I was 16, the girls got all dressed up in our prom dresses and headed to Anthony's Homeport for a night on the town...(thanks to my friend Heather, for being the oldest of all of us and driving us around in the Suburban!). I am finally getting around to blogging about this amazing wedding with so many fun DIY details....from way back in november! EEK! Lets just say its been a crazy holiday season! First I have to tell the wonderful story about Phil and Latrisha! They met and dated in highschool...then broke up and dated other people. Then, a few years after they graduated, Phil was working out side and got bit by a brown recluse Spider and ended up in the hospital! He nearly lost his arm...and his life...and somehow Latrisha ended up at his side, and was smitten by his charm! And the rest was history! Latrisha really has a great eye for design....just a few of my favorites of the day: She took a plain silk wedding dress and had the seamstress turn it into a modern and lovely mermaid one of a kind dress with an amazing ruffle detail.
