Its funny how i can meet someone, and in an instant usually tell if I really like them or not. When I met Kimberly Loomis at a wedding....i knew I would like her. She's funny, smart and a fellow photog. :) She also is a music lover...(and i would like to call myself one too!) and her love of music is what brought her and her musician husband, Brad Loomis together. Soon after meeting at the wedding, I decided to check out her musicians wife blog and...well...I have to say that I laughed soooo hard while reading this post :Regarding undergarments. After I ready that...I really knew I like this girl! We had fun scooting around the park the other day! If you are looking for modern family portraits that are a little (or better yet alot) less boring that a typical studio shoot....email me at kaylee@eylanderphotography.com. I would love to hear

June 21, 2011One of my favorite parts of my job is asking a couple how they met. I love hearing people's love stories...especially when they have been married for 10 years and still have amazing chemistry! I love that these two were brought together by one of Wendy's childhood girlfriends. Dave had seen a picture of Wendy...and said to her friend..."someday I will marry a girl that looks like this....and don't you dare tell her! " Of course, within minutes she was on the phone, and within a few years, the two where hitched! During the shoot...I asked them what were some of the best things about the other.... Dave said about Wendy: She's a great mom! Wendy says about Dave: He has great legs! :) {Just a little peak into how fun these two are!!!} I gotta say that I had a totally giggly, belly laughing, doubling over good time with this couple and I can
Well...I have been married for almost 9 years to the best guy around. He is tall, sporting a lovely head of hair and he knows me like no body else. He is such a great dad. I love him even more when I see him wrestle with the kids, tickle them until they declare they are going to pee their pants...but most of all...I love it when he sings to them. He has such a great voice...and I still remember the first time I heard him sing Sweet Child Of Mine to little newborn Estelle. He has such a talent as a baby whisperer....so if you are ever frustrated with not being able to get your little one to settle down, hand him over to Drew and he will put them to sleep in no time. My Top Ten Things I love about Drew as a Dad: 1. He is so stinkin
We first met Nolan and Monika a while ago at our small group. They are truly 2 of the nicest and happiest people I've ever met. They love kids, laughing and just being cool people. I was so excited to shoot their fabulous engagement session at gasworks park...and i knew then that their wedding day would be just as great! I loved being on the water at the Edmonds Yacht Club. Here are just a few from their super fun day! Monika has such an infectious smile...I'm so glad we got to be a part of their wedding day! Comment Contest: I'm having a little comment contest and here is how it works. They have 1 week to get as many unique comments as they can. I would love to send some free prints their way to put up on their walls!! Leave them some comment love and I know they
Wow. Wow. Wow. I have no words (except for wow!) to express how amazing Heather & Kenny's wedding was on Saturday! Besides the fact that it was so much fun, shooting a gorgeous, in love couple, in an amazing wedding venue like St. James Cathedral in Seattle...then onto the beautiful Kensington Gardens in Gig Harbor for a fabulous reception...THIS is why we love our job so much! So, so, so fun! Here are just a few...of this amazing Glam Wedding!!! I have to say...St. James Cathedral has a special place in my heart! Its seriously incredible. It reminds me of all of the Cathedrals in Europe...that I have only seen in movies. Anyway...It found a special place in my heart about 14 years ago when I was in college. Our art teacher took us on a fun little trip to the Fry Museum and then onto St. James Cathedral. I was
Its funny how an idea comes about. For me...I kind of think in long strings...where I could be talking about going to the beach one minute...then fast forward a few seconds and then all of a sudden I am convincing my husband that we have to start thinking about where we will retire someday....and he used to wonder how I could get from A to Q in 4.5 seconds...now he is used to it. (yay for being married for almost 9 years! and PS>>>I love being married to my man! ).... Ok...back to the story! See????!! I got a call a few months ago from my new friend/old acquaintance, Jenny Keller of Jenny Cookies. We have known of each other since I was about 18, but really started to inspire/chat/plan a few years ago when I got to shoot her family's portraits. This one is the second of our fun sessions.
