To say we had fun at Aisha & Brent’s wedding at Lairmont Manor would be a total understatement! It was such a blast….these are the kind of weddings that we live for! 2 great people, a fun wedding party and love from their family and friends just filled the whole place! From the minute we got there and the guys were playing nerf basketball, to the end of the night, when no one wanted to leave…the whole thing was a blast! So the Willis Family is pretty amazing. Not only are they a military family….(i don’t know how she does it with 4 kids!!!) but the amount of love,  teasing and rough housing is in perfect balance. Its a special kind of family that can move all over the country and still love and enjoy each other. These guys will soon be heading to Australia for a time…and I just can’t be sorry for them! :) I know they will see that amazing sun, blue skies and fabulous water and forget all about the grey days in Seattle! They did want some family portraits to remind them of their time here though. When they get too hot, and have had too much fun at the beach, they can pull these out and be reminded of the day it held off raining so we could go to Willis Tucker Park in Mill Creek and take some pictures!

We had so much fun with Ashleigh and Steven at their wedding at the Marysville Opera House!  We decided to stick around the Opera House for the First Look and I’m so glad we did! Its an amazing building with an old world feel….which is perfect for these two! Can you believe that they’ve all ready visited 17 countries together??? Well…18, now that they are on their honeymoon to Costa Rica! I can’t wait to hear about their many trips together!

I got my baby fix the other day when I got to hang out with my new little one month old nephew, Britton! He is such a sweet little pot bellied milk drinker! The kid can eat…and his little belly was so full! I loved it! I don’t know if what I love more, the smell of a newborn, or the snuggles….either way….he was super fun!

This one make me think he has alot on his mind!

Is it mean that I love the crying pictures! :) I love his little wrinkly tummy!

So I got to hang out with Mr. James Long the yesterday and one of my favorite shooting locations…super secret! :) He’s been a loyal youth and kids leader at our amazing church for as long as I can remember. Its not the easiest thing to have a camera in your face for an hr, but he was a natural! You did a great job, Jimmy!

We had so much fun with Sadie and Josh today! Um…they are stinking fun!  Married for 9 years…when I asked how they met…Sadie told me that when  Josh saw her in driver’s ed class…he knew she was the one! How sweet is that!

Let me just say…that when I saw Sadie walk out to the shoot with her hair and make-up done….and this amazing wedding gown on, I literally fell over! It was all I could do! :) She was so stunning! Caryn Gresli made all my hair dreams come true…and I have no idea what you call it…but it was like she crawled into my brain and extracted exactly what I was hoping for! Thanks Caryn!!!

The chemistry between these two just made me so happy. After 9 yrs…still giggling. :)

Terri Fields, Owner of Embellish By Terri, rocked it once again with her signature lashes and gorgeous wedding make-up. If you are looking for a make-up artist with spunk…and someone who is going to bring some sunshine to your face…and your wedding day…Terri is your new best friend! Once again…an amazingly fabulous vintage style dress from our favorite Bridal Shop, From the Gown Up. I seriously am tempted to steal this one!!!

Jenny Keller, of Jenny Cookies also brought her gorgeous A game when creating the look and feel of, not only the dessert table, but the whole shoot! She is fabulous!

Um…Stadium Flowers! Oh how I love your flower design. I could stare at and smell these peonies all day long!

What a fun idea for your guest table! You don’t have to use a plain round table! Drag out your favorite desk, dresser or end table and use it for your guests to wish you happy thoughts! I love this idea!

I loved Jenny’s idea to use these Seltzer Bottles for table numbers! So brilliant. Another great  DIY project!

Everyone loves a little treat to take away from a wedding! These DIY cookie favors are a such a nice touch to send home with your guests after spending the day at your wedding…or if they are Jenny Cookies…they will never make it home!

LOVE LOVE LOVE this dessert bar by Jenny Cookies…and the cake below just knocked my socks off (as all her cakes do) and the pink flowers was just so stinkin perfect!

We had so much fun with Heather and Kenny. They are one of those easy going, genuine couples that I love to spend the whole day with. Their sweet, sweet little Benny is a spitting image of his daddy and I loved his wonderful little personality! He is obviously the little spark in this family! I loved watching him enjoy himself the whole day!

Two of my favorite things to shoot at a wedding. Amazing Jimmy Choo shoes and Vera Wang Perfume. So lovely.

I knew Heather would have an amazing dress. When I hung out with them for their engagement session…I loved her style…so I knew it was coming….but….OMG!!!! This dress was incredible! I want one!

I loved that Heather had her Mad Housewife wine on hand! :) so cute! I would buy this just for the cute label!

Ah! This little cove in St. James Cathedral was one of my favorite places of the whole day. So beautiful!

Seriously…what a beautiful family!!! And FUN too!

St. James Cathedral in Seattle holds a special place in my heart! I loved every second of shooting there!!

Kensington Gardens in Gig Harbor was the perfect place to have an Elegant, Modern Wedding Reception. I felt like I was at an amazing Italian Villa! Loved all the Gardens!

I absolutely LOVED this cake with the wide  black ribbon and diamond broaches! So Modern Glam!! And….it was Red Velvet….can’t get any better than that!

About 3 or 4 years ago…I visited Big Lake for the first time…and  fell in love with  its home town community feel and amazing view! We got to hang out at an old fashioned home town bar-b-q…full of yummy hamburgers, salads, and an impromptu cupcake war: it was a tie. It was so fun for the kiddos who won prizes for gunny sack races….brilliant idea! Then we settled in for the amazing Big Lake Fire Department Fireworks Show! It rivaled any fireworks show I’ve seen…and i loved that it was over the lake.

PS>>>if anyone on Big Lake wants to lend me their house for the summer…just let me know! :)

My friend Heather made these yummo apple hand pies! She told me the secret to these cute puppies…store bought pie crust! I was so happy she shared her secret, because I never would have attempted them…but now….I’m thinking for Thanksgiving! :)

My gals from highschool….gotta say…its a so wonderful to have friends that have known me since I was in 3rd grade.

New tradition for the Eylander Family…Gunny Sack races at every party….but you gotta have prizes…to motivate!

The kids were feelin pretty confident…they wanted to take on the daddies!

As the night was winding down, I loved that Pam was bringing coffee with all the fixins to all the families waiting for the fireworks to begin! So cute!

Its funny how i can meet someone, and in an instant usually tell if I really like them or not. When I met Kimberly Loomis at a wedding….i knew I would like her. She’s funny, smart and a fellow photog. :) She also is a music lover…(and i would like to call myself one too!) and her love of music is what brought her and her musician husband, Brad Loomis together. Soon after meeting at the wedding, I decided to check out her musicians wife blog and…well…I have to say that I laughed soooo hard while reading this post :Regarding undergarments. After I ready that…I really knew I like this girl!

We had fun scooting around the park the other day!

One of my favorite parts of my job is asking a couple how they met. I love hearing people’s love stories…especially when they have been married for 10 years and still have amazing chemistry!  I love that these two were brought together by one of Wendy’s childhood girlfriends.  Dave had seen a picture of Wendy…and said to her friend…”someday I will marry a girl that looks like this….and don’t you dare tell her! ” Of course, within minutes she was on the phone, and within a few years, the two where hitched!

During the shoot…I asked them what were some of the best things about the other….

Dave said about Wendy: She’s a great mom!

I gotta say that I had a totally giggly, belly laughing, doubling over good time with this couple and I can see why Jenny said they would be a perfect couple for our Nautical Beach Wedding Shoot! They were game for anything!

How cute are these home made scone favors by Jenny Cookies?? So fun for a yummy favor…and i bet the wouldn’t even make it home!

I love the idea of instead of a traditional guest book…pump up the personal factor and have your guests fill out a card with a memory or best wish for you! Throw them in a stack of vintage suitcases and you’ve got a really cool way for guests to participate in your wedding day!

I can’t even tell you how much I love Jenny Cookies Cake Pops! yum yum yum!!! if you are thinking of having a dessert table at your wedding this summer…or next…please do me a favor and call Jenny and order some cake pops. thanks.

Oh how I love these flowers from Stadium Flowers! What a great idea to find your own vintage vases, like these vintage Mason Jars have the Florist do the work.:)  Its a little DIY, and a fun way to personalize your wedding.

Another fabulous idea from Jenny…bring your own tables, desks or dressers to use as cake tables, dessert tables, tables for your guest book or whatever! Ask your venue if its ok…and then make your wedding your own! If you use some of the same colors in your wedding as you do in your house, you can recycle them to side tables or night stands! :) Check out my favorite spot, the Goodwill for some good deals!
