So…give me some modge podge and some glitter and you make me a happy girl….and my husband, well…he “loves” glitter too. :) Before the holidays I had a small dinner for a my high school gal pal’s birthday and it was quite the fun night. I made so many glitterized items that I just had to share them with you. Some of these ideas I got of Pinterest, some I got from weddings that I had shot this year! I love it when a bride inspires me to craft (thats you, Anne! check out her amaze-balls wedding here, and here.

My friends Heather and Rach came over to celebrate the first of all of our 35th birthdays…and this year I wanted to go all out! Even made crowns with some lace I found at the Goodwill!

These votives could not be any easier! Seriously…glitter + modge podge + random vessels and you can make these any way you want! I did the modge podge on the inside of one, and on the outside of the other. I think like it on the outside better. It has more pazzazz!

I gave each lady a letter and it was super easy too. I just spray painted them with gold paint and then modge podged the front, and glitterized. Then I sprayed them with a gloss clear spray to hold the glitter in place more.  I used a burlap strip of fabric for the runner and just piled on the votives.

These were inspired by a cake topper at Anne’s wedding!  have been waiting for a reason to make them…and this was the perfect glittery occasion. Just cardstock glued together over a wooden dowl. Glitterize and you have made the perfect center piece! 

Continuting the glitter theme…I did some clothes pins and her gift bag. this could be cute for the holidays, or bridesmaids gifts too! I mean…wouldn’t you rather use a glitter clothes pin than a regular one!! :)

I found these crowns on Pinterest: I made some basic ones for us….because who doesn’t want to wear a little crown on their b-day????

Of course, the birthday girl got the biggest crown!

For dinner, I tried to keep it simple and easy. I roasted a lemon and thyme filled chicken and did a little salad with tomatoes and mozzerella. And a hearshaped brownie with home made ice cream for dessert!

Recently I had the chance to do a really fun Glitter Girls Night Out Shoot with some really fun girls!!! We did hair and make-up and everyone wore some glittery  sparkles and we had a blast! Some of the girls brought their own sparkles, some wore  sparkles from our growing collection of wardrobe here at the studio. I loved getting to hang out with these gals (and my favorite Make-Up Artist, Terry Fields of  Basic to Bombshell). Terry nailed it with the make-up and hair and she’s always a blast to work with!
