    Hey! I am so glad you found me!:) I'm Kaylee Eylander and I'm a Seattle Wedding Photographer based near Seattle, Washington, but travel anywhere and would love to come with you!:) I love weddings and capturing relationships in beautiful images that you would love to have on your wall for 50 years. I am constantly learning about new techniques for shooting (as well as other things too!) I would love to photograph your wedding. I've had a camera in my hands since childhood and have been shooting professionally for more than 7 years! (yikes!) I have been married for almost 8 years and am still madly in love with my best friend, Drew. I can tell you from experience that marriage is AWESOME....and a lot of hard work too! I have 2 kiddos that inspire me and make me laugh everyday. I have to say that my life is wonderful....and I would love to capture yours!

Bellingham (amazing) DIY Wedding | You had me at Tire Swing! | Kaylee Eylander Photography

I have so many weddings that I need to blog!! Yikes!  I guess its good to be busy!

When I received my first email from Amy…she told me a little about her wedding…that it was going to be on a homestead near a river, there was raspberry rows, huge amazing trees and a tire swing….I started drooling and was jumping up and down inside!!! Then when I met with them and saw what a fun and loving couple they were…it just made me that much more excited to shoot their wedding. Then….we shot their engagement session at an amazing place they called the Kissing Tree…on the beach in Bellingham…and once I saw how comfortable they were in front of the camera (read: they were so into each other…they acted I wasn’t there!)…I knew their wedding would be amazing! And it was.

After I met Amy and her incredible group of gals that were her bridesmaids, and saw their all different bridesmaids dresses (turquoise and greens with pops of red!) and their all matching red satin shoes I just about flipped my lid! Why? Because! It was like Amy just crawled into my head and planned a wedding that would be so visually striking…just for me!:) It was a photographers dream!

She had so many cool DIY touches and details….I can’t wait to post more images from this amazing wedding!

Semiahmoo Wedding | Meagan & Ryan | Bellingham Wedding Photographer

I loved this wedding at Semiahmoo Resort in Blaine, Washington! It is the closest thing to a destination wedding location Washington has to offer in my opinion! My hubby & I ended up staying the night…swam in the pool and had an amazing breakfast the next day. If you are looking for a chance for your guests to just get way and enjoy themselves…this would be a great way to do it!

These guys had such amazing people surrounding them that day. After learning that Meagan had insisted that there be no Tulle allowed in the wedding decorations, the family decided to cover their bridal suite with pink tulle!:) Only a fun family would do that!

I just died over these amazing…..AMAZING hot pink Kate Spade Wedding shoes! The great thing about these is that you can wear them for ever…on a hot date with your new hubs and always remember your wonderful wedding day! So amazing!  If you are thinking about what kind of wedding shoes to buy….go for color! Go for personality! Go for shoes you can wear again! I love colorful wedding shoes….

This Pnina Torinai wedding gown from Kleinfeld Bridal just about knocked me back off my feet when I walked into the room to see it for the first time. I knew that Meagan had a blast on her trip to New York ( Her amazing and spunky grandmother decided that they had to go to Kleinfeld because Say Yes to the Dress is her favorite TV show!)…but I didn’t even imagine how amazing this dress would really be! It totally blew me away!  And when she put on the dress….the turned into a grecian sculpture, right before our eyes! So beautiful! And if that wasn’t enough…the sparkly broach in the flower was Ryan’s Grandmothers….it was the perfect touch…and it was personal. That makes me so happy!

I love that they both wrote their own custom vows for each other!

Kiana Lodge Wedding | Jack & Becky | Seattle Destination Wedding

One of my favorite things about my job ( i have tons of these!), is when i get to see someone that I have known longer than 6 months get married. Like someone that I have known since childhood, or high school….And I have known Jack for (gulp) 20 years or so. When I was in 3rd grade, we moved to the little cute town of Arlington, Washington…into a house that Jack’s dad was building. I can still remember images of him and his dad working on the house…and me running around the yard, picking up nails, planks and other stuff to make wood sculptures with. My brother and him became fast friends, especially because he lived at the end of the street. Along with the other boys on block…they got into some pretty fun trouble.

Fast forward 10 years…when Jack lived in Austria, my brother visited and they tromped around Europe….one night walking around Amsterdam all night long because they couldn’t find a hotel…or didn’t…I’m sure there were some stories that weren’t told to me…Lots of adventure, lots of fun.

Fast forward 20 years…and he is still the same fun, crazy adventurous Jack who got married to a beautiful adventurous girl…who had a few adventures of her own…Being a missionaries daughter growing up in Nigeria….I’m sure there were lots of stories to tell here too. When I saw her climb onto the massive drift wood on the beach, I knew that Jack had met his perfect match. I can just imagine all the adventure they (and their kids someday) will have.

For 2 people….one from LA and one from Las Vegas….and all of their friends from different friends that came literally from all over the world, this truly was a one of a kind Africa meets Northwest destination wedding. I love that Becky used hand dyed napkins made in Nigeria for favors for each guest…it was special and personal. And to me, that is what makes a wedding memorable!

My favorite of the whole day…I think! There were so many that i loved!When Becky said she wanted to climb up on this driftwood….in that dress….I was so stinking excited! What a fun and adventurous girl!

Wedding Venue: Kiana Lodge, Bainbridge Island, Washington (if you are looking for a perfectly “Northest” Destination Wedding venue…this is it! There are tons of B&B’s that your guests can stay in as well as the Clearwater Casino and hotel. Its perfect!

Seattle FunBooth Live Photobooth | Kara & Vance’s Crazy Peeps! | Kaylee Eylander Photography

For some reason….doing funbooths has been one of my favorite things this summer! I have had some crazy photobooths, and Kara & Vance’s is at the top of the list. I don’t know that I ever had to actually tell them to “do something crazy”….they didn’t need any help at all. And that makes my job fun! Natalie and I had such a great time capturing these fun people!
