Saturday, amidst the snow flurries, rain,  hail and chilly wind, I found a new treasure….my new favorite wedding venue: Lairmont Manor in Bellingham, WA. Oh my! I love history, and this place has it in spades.  You must check out the website! Its full of amazing woodwork,  floor to ceiling windows, chandeliers, and an old world feeling of elegance. It was amazing. Coordinated by the wonderfully talented Danielle Elder, of Added Details, everything was running smoothly…more posts to come!  If you’re thinking you need a wedding coordinator to help to make you day go smoothly…she’s your gal!   After the ceremony, glorious jazz  was provided by Jake Bergevin Music!  If you book them….be sure to request the “cake” song! It was a hit.

So my dear friend, Jackie, owner of (now) Diva-911, formerly Sweet Peas Boutique, had a fun Fashionista Event the other night….A little Wine, lots of Bling, Lots of hot fashion and tons of fun and conversation with the ladies. Everyone got 20% in the whole store that night!!! It was such a blast!  Here are a few shots from the evening. I love passionate people. I’m passionate about alot of things and I’m drawn to people that get excited about…well, whatever it is that excites them. For Tara & Robert….its beer. They love beer. They love The  Boundary Bay Brewery. On Saturday, we literally got an all access pass to the brewery and all the lovely nooks and crannies of that wonderful old building. If  felt like I could have spent all day checking the place out and thinking up more shots! Luckily Tara and Robert had a few up their sleeve too!  We had a great time! I know I’ll be headed up there again…with my cute hubby this time!

So last friday night I had a Grand Opening party for my new studio in Lake Stevens! It was such a blast! I got to meet a TON of the Lake Town peeps and just have a great time with everyone! We had a cake with my face on it (thanks to Jackie, of Diva-911 for that…photos to come!) and amazing gift bags! Wow!! Thanks to everyone that helped make those little treats so amazing.  We also set up the studio with a classic Photobooth! It was delightful! You can see that we were loving it!:)

Last friday I had the chance to photograph one of the cutest families on the planet!:) Truly fun and entertaining.  Here’s a sneak peek!

I first started photographing this darling family a few years ago when I was pregant with my 2nd child. My husband and I had a 3 year old daughter, but I wasn’t far enough along to find out if  I was having a boy or girl yet.  Watching these 3 boys wrestle, laugh, make faces, and just be boys…I got very excited about the prospects of having a boy of my own!  Up untill this session, I was, honestly, a little scared about the whole idea of having a boy….but these cute bros helped me to get prepared!  This was my 3rd session with them…and they just keep getting cuter and cuter! It helps me know what  to look foward to with my own 2 year old boy!

So I’ve been updating my promotional material for Senior Portraits, and one of my new favorite things: Rock the Frock! We headed to the studio with some gals from Snohomish High School to have some fun!:) What sweet girls! As the session went on, I laughed with Jackie (co-owner of Sweet Pea’s Boutique) about how we were just like them 1oish years ago: young, cute, fun and the world at my fingertips. I just celebrated my 31st birthday (yay!) and I did notice a few more wrinkles…..but I have to say that I still feel like I’m 18!  After thinking about it for a while, I realized, that I am still the 18 year old on the inside….I think I will always be.  As my body grows a little older every year, I’m still me.  That will never change and I like it that way. I’m just a little wiser!

Last week we had our 3rd Boudoir Event at Eylander Studio. It was such a blast! The ladies that came to the event were just a blast! I love meeting new people…and they peeps were fun! Thanks ladies for making our 3rd event such a success!

We did have a mom and daughter come and do a session together. This little one reminded of how my Estelle will be in about 4 years! I hope our relationship is a cute as theirs in 4 years!

So this year has been a year of firsts, so far! Yay! I love new things. For the first time, my photography has been in print! I had the opportunity to do a shoot for the DList Magazine, a rad Seattle based magazine all about dining, dress….and a bunch of other d’s! I did a style shoot showcasing new hats, scarves and goggles! It was a blast!  I loved everything about it! Check out my work on page 54…. In the section called “Let it Snow!” :)

I had so much fun hanging out with the Jones’ on Saturday….they are a fun bunch to photograph! They were laughing, joking and I think they forgot I was there!:)  I love Gas Works Park in Seattle….I feel that I haven’t even tapped into the potential there, so if any of you want to go there for your sessions, just let me know!!!!
