Oh boy. These guys are just as much fun as I thought they would be!
There is something so fun about dressing up for halloween….Its like a time capsule of what kiddos are into right at that moment. We’ve had a batman, Jack Sparrow and this year…a cowboy. And my daughter has been Hannah Montana (twice) a spy, and this year is my favorite…an 80s rock star! I love it!! It just says a little something about my kids and what they love.
I love this little guy! He is really into Thomas the Train…and catapillers :).
If you haven’t signed up your kids for our First Annual Halloween Mini Sessions….you still have time! Email me at Kaylee@eylanderphotography.com and we will get you booked!
I absolutely loved this costume for Terri’s Scotty, Maggie! The girl is a punk!
We are so excited to be able to offer Halloween Mini Sessions this year! After moving to our new house and studio…we put together a perfectly fall set (when I say we…I really mean the amazing Jenny Keller, of Jenny Cookies!) We gathered up some hay bales, some pumpkins, and raided Jenny’s fabulous stockpile of crates and drawers! Bring your kiddos, your pets, or your honey!
Only $35 for your mini session and you will have an online gallery, to choose your 8×10 and 4 5×7 prints from. You also will get a digital image of your choice! Additional goodies like Metal Prints, Accordion Booklets and Canvas Prints are always available!

Not only did Anne and Phillip create one of the coolest photobooth backdrops that I have ever seen….they really excelled in the prop region as well….these guys don’t do anything not 100%. They really rocked the funbooth. I mean…have you ever seen have you ever seen a carrot and pea in a funbooth? Or a blow up ostrich costume? Let alone…in a funbooth. seriously. crazy. awesomeballs. Anne has inspired me to make my own crepe paper backdrop for my daughters’s 9th bday. :) Thanks anne!

Well…its summer in October here in Washington…and I’m loving it! We headed to Gasworks Park in Seattle this weekend for another fun engagement session. I seriously am loving this 72 degree October days…I think I mentioned it 20 times during our session!! I can’t help it…I need me vitamin d.
Their Session: I loved all of the fun props these guys brought to their session…a billboard B letter, a mrs. butterworths syrup bottle (their soon to be last name!) and live, laugh and love signs. They were personal and perfect. What was even better was that these two peeps fell in love and got engaged at Gasworks park. It was a great place to capture them. They had long talks on a bench, and got engaged down by the steps near the water. We are lucky to have great parks like this one in Seattle!
How they met: These guys mentioned that they met online (I heart online dating!!!) Its not that I have done any online dating, but I have had tons of clients that met and fell in love online! I know there are a ton of horror stories about online dating out there…but I have shot 11 online dating couples in the last 3 years and I can see how it brings two people that are a great fit together.
Their wedding: These two are getting married at the fabulous Georgetown Ballroom. I love this place. I just shot a wedding there and we just loved it! Its urban, quirky and laid back…while still being really polished and put together. If you are looking for a fun seattle wedding venue…check it out!
This is one of my faves from the whole session! I love the Seattle skyline in the background!
We had a great time photographing our last wedding of the summer season. I was super excited to have 2 fun, diy weddings for the end of the summer…full of fun details, hand made gorgeousness…did I mention fun? Plus…alot of fun. :)
We headed down I-5 to Chehalis….a town, that I thought I had never really been to….but as we followed google maps to our farm destination…we passed a sign for Thousand Trails…and alas…I have spent a few weeks hanging in the trees and at the Thousand Trails pool with the fam at the Crow Family Reunions! :) Anyway…its beautiful down there….lots of amazing barns in amazing fields and I think I decided I wanted to move there….out of the convergent zone that was being rained on when we left home.
I loved all the Ciara & Cody’s fun details. Some of my faves?:
1. A huge dance floor in the middle of a field, with little white lights around the top….they used this for the stage for the wedding…then it came into its full glory about 9pm when sun went down and the dancing started!
2. Um…The most amazing BBQ from Ranch House BBQ. yum-o!
3. The most orange and white paper lanterns that I have ever seen in a tent! It was gorgeous and just about blew my socks when I walked into the the tent!
4. I love a bride that wears a fabulous dress and cowgirl boots!
5. I loved all of the burlap details and table runners!
6. The cutest pinwheel background for the cutest desert table ! I kind want one of these for my house…in turquoise, of course!
7. The venue itself was a really cool working farm that was 275 acres! It was beyond huge and had the most incredible creek running through it. I wanted to jump over the rustic bridge and jump right into that water. I would love to have a creek on my property.
It was so cool to be in a huge field, with nothing else around, but a beautiful view and some Dave Matthews Music.

I don’t have time to write everything I want to say about this amazing seattle diy wedding…but the photos pretty much speak for themself. A whole lotta awesome.

Ok! So…here is part two to this amazingly fabulous Chinese American Wedding! Complete with Chinese Tea Ceremony and Dragon Lion Dance! It was incredible. I think I shed a tear when the drums rang out.
I can’t get over her gorgeous red chinese wedding dress! Its gorgeous!
This was the first Chinese Tea Ceremony I have ever photographed and it was so lovely. Their elders came to the front and the bride and groom offered them tea, they took a sip and have them a blessing. What a cool way to honor the special people in your life.
This is one of my favorite images of the whole wedding! Because they had the ceremony in the center of a circle of guests, I was able to stand behind the groom. This is an angle that I don’t often get because usually it would be really distracting in a traditional style ceremony. What a treat!
They both said their own personal vows and they were really special! I loved that Will knew just what to say to get a laugh out of Tina. They are a pretty great match!
Face time with overseas family!

I love that while I was shooting the serene reception area….Drew was with these crazy groomsmen! What a fun wedding party these guys had!
I loved the look on this kiddo’s face when the dragon came straight for him…no worries…in the next frame, he was smiling!

Never in a million years did I think the below was going to happen while shooting the above. :) of course, I loved it.

There are just too many pictures in from this wedding for just one blog post! When the bride has 3 dress changes, complete with new shoes, the girl deserves more than just one blog post! I love that Will and Tina incorporated some Chinese traditions, as well as having a Western Style Ceremony. It was like the best of all of their worlds.
All of the wedding day events took place at the ever modern and gorgeous. We would have even needed to leave the hotel if the weather hadn’t been so beautiful. There are just so many places to take amazing pictures. I was very impressed! It had so much light and great lines.
I LOVE when grooms wear suits!
I loved Tina’s chinese style dress. She got it all the way in Hong Kong. And the shoes! eek! Loved those too!
The shoes and I had our very own photo shoot! I just couldn’t stop shooting them!
In the program when their guests got to their seats, they were surprised when they opened their programs that told them that Will and Tina had been all ready married on a date that was to bring them good luck. So this was their 2nd chance to commit themselves to each other.
Tina had such a fun wedding party!
I loved that the first thing Tina did when she got a little anxious…was call Will….who was just downstairs. I think he said…
I Love you, boo-boo! :) He knew just what to say!
Oh!! I loved these shoes so much!!
I loved that we were able to do their first look on the Pool Deck of the Four Seasons in Seattle! It was such a beautiful day…it made me so happy! It was perfect!
I think this was one of my favorite shots of the wedding party! Will and Tina love the city…and these next shots just capture that!
We got a few shots over in the Seattle Art Museum! It was totally worth going over there. I loved how these turned out!
