Just a sneak peek of my last lovely fall engagement session in Kirkland! These two are super fun, super in love and I can’t wait for their destination wedding in sunny Eastern Washington! At one of my very favorite places…Sunserra at Crescent Bar!!
Crescent Bar is one of my favorite places because its there at Crescent Bay Resort, that late one night, as the summer sun was going down, my daughter finally learned to swim. We had been working on it for a few months and it just clicked! She put her face in the water and basically hasn’t gotten up since! ( not really, but figuratively! She swims so much that we call her Tadpole!).
Anyway…back to Courtney and Jeff’s Story! They met a years ago, then met again 4 years later on a fun weekend in San Diego…and the rest is kind of history.
We took a stroll around the waterfront in Kirkland and it was a blast! I loved that these two love to run together and we got to capture that as well!
This is one of my favorite places in Kirklnad! I LOVE LOVE LOVE this dock! Luckily for us, because it was fall, and not in the middle of summer, this place was kind of a ghost town compared to what it would normally be on a nice sunny day in the summertime!

I had such a sweet time with Little Miss E! Since we moved to the Tri Cities in April, I’ve been secretly having my eye on this little one…waiting for the special day I would get to photograph her. Her parents go to our incredible church, Life Church Tri Cities, and I think I met her parents the first week we were there….and Little Miss E too!
Aren’t her big blue eyes just to die for?? I thought this one was going to take some more warming up…and I’ve been working on my baby friendly smile tactics…but I really didn’t even need to, because she was ready to be a star (and I had her 2 amazing parents, and her fun brothers that were there to do all the hard work!).
I love one year olds because they are a little independent and still are relatively dependent…and they love attention! I had so much fun with all the pink and pearls in this session! I headed to their house for the session and I was excited to see a full table of fun clothes and accessories to choose from!
I always love snagging a few images of sweet little teeth that are just coming (or falling out, for that matter). It marks such a specific and short time in our kids lives, I love to make sure we get that on film…and I count it as a little challenge for myself! I’m so glad I got a few of these!
The other thing I love to shoot when doing a kids portrait session is hands….hands change so much over time and I just can’t get enough of little chubby fingers and wrists! So Sweet!
If you are looking for a children’s photographer in the Tri Cities area…who is going to capture your child the way they are…I would love to chat with you! Email me at email@example.com or visit my contact page for more information. Portrait Sessions start at $150.

Here is just a teeny tiny sneak peek from a fabulously chevrony elegant, but not stuffy wedding we got to be a part of in Seattle in the Atrium Loft above Pike Place Market! One of the most unique views of the Pike Place Market sign I have ever seen…and I had no idea it was even there! The rain didn’t have anything on us that day…I mean…It wouldn’t be a Seattle Pike Place Market wedding without a few rain drops, right??
I was just dying over the cool wood paneled walls in the Goodwin Library. Amy warned me….that I would love the walls and the light in the place…and of course, she was so right!!! I walked in and was in awe of the cool view, the walls and the amazing light coming in through all of the gorgeous windows! She knew what she was talking about!
So, here are just a few of my favorite images from just after the first look! Lots more of these to come!!

I can honestly saw that when I chatted with Jessen’s mom on the phone about a year ago, I knew this wedding was going to be a fun one! She told me about Lakedale Resort on San Juan Island, all of the fun details that Jess and Freddy were planning and just how much fun they were. well..once again, I was blown away. The beauty of San Juan Island was incredible, but these people were seriously fun and inlove!
We had some out of the ordanary things happen on this wedding day…and these two weathered all of them like champs! Just to name a few:
- Bees were swarming the beach at the American Camp beach where Freddy & Jess were going to do their first look…and we didn’t have the epi pen that we needed for Jess. She was so brave!
- We were photo bombed by a total stranger, about .5 seconds after Freddy saw Jess for the first time at the First Look! Luckily, after the whole wedding party and family hollered at him…he got the hint and wondered off!
- There were multiple bees in the bride’s veil and Drew fought them off like a warrior!
- Their sweep pup had some doo-doo issues. I will leave it at that.
They also had some amazing DIY wedding details that I was so excited about! Some of my favorites were:
- Random glass bottles wrapped with twine for centerpiece vases
- Fleece blankets wrapped with string for wedding favors for guests
- Torn fabric garland with random photos of the bride & groom hanging around the reception tent
- driftwood directional signs and handmade wedding arch
Here’s part one of their creative and special wedding day!
