Snow. lots of snow.

And…lots of fun people when we finally arrived at Washington Family Ranch in Antelope, Oregon. If you know where Antelope is..you get a gold star. I think the population is 50. people. Washington Family Ranch is a blow your mind, amazing Young Life Camp in Eastern Oregon….(check out the waterslides here).

Its a long story, mostly about my husband being an amazing driver…driving us 6+ hours so we could photograph this wedding….and then 5 hours home after the wedding.

But…when you take a peek at these images, you will see that it was all worth it! :)

These two are in love and their friends were totally ridiculous and fun…and it was such a great time.

Here’s a little sneak peek from their super duper snowy wedding day!

Drew and I headed to Hayden Lake Country Club in Hayden Lake, Idaho for Brooke and Tommy’s Destination Wedding. It was fantastic. The weather was beautiful, the setting was absolutely amazing and the couple (and families & friends) were just delightful! Plus I got some of my very favorite DIY wedding details ( painted clothes pins, bunting and Polaroid guestbook…you’ll have to come back to see those, though!).

I heart DIY weddings…well mostly any kind of weddings, but DIY details are my favorite! I think its because they are such an intimate expression of a bride and groom….because they were made by them! Drew and I had so much fun at Melanie & Jason’s Lake Chelan Destination wedding. I had a feeling that it was going to be amazing…since I met with Mel & Jason, then saw their friends in action at this fun wedding at Hidden Meadows…I had an inkling that this wedding was going to be pretty epic. And it delivered.

When I walked into the Grandview and saw Melanie’s lace and tulle dress hanging and saw all of the soft dusty pink bridesmaids dresses, my inkling was confirmed. Not only was it gorgeous, but all of the bridesmaids were super fun and game for anything!

I loved it when Nana took a shot on her iphone. :)

Tsillan Cellars was a gorgeous reception venue. We did the first look there, on a sweet bridge next to the floating dance floor (with incredible lights hanging!!!)

Next we headed to a row in the vineyard…it was incredible! I loved the light in this shot! 

I love it when the bride chooses to do all the same fabric of bride’s maids dresses in different styles…they are unique, but still have a nice flow.

I’m pretty sure this is a Don’t Stop Believin moment. So epic.

Erika and Paul’s wedding was so much fun…and when I was doing their fabulously styled engagement session, I all ready knew it  was going to be incredible!

Upon walking off the ferry at Lopez Island, we found this gloriously decorated shuttle van that took us on to our destination! I loved it so much!! I knew we were in the right place.

 When I walked into the house where the girls were getting ready…I just about died when I saw all these incredible dresses hanging!! :) If you know me…you know aqua/turquoise/tiffany blue just brings me emence joy! And Erika’s dress!!! So stinking gorgeous! x

I can’t even express how much I love this photo!  The sunglasses plus these gorgeous dresses, fun ladies and the beach!! Are you kidding me??? 

So much fun. Seriously was as fun as it looks!

One of my favorite parts of my job is asking a couple how they met. I love hearing people’s love stories…especially when they have been married for 10 years and still have amazing chemistry!  I love that these two were brought together by one of Wendy’s childhood girlfriends.  Dave had seen a picture of Wendy…and said to her friend…”someday I will marry a girl that looks like this….and don’t you dare tell her! ” Of course, within minutes she was on the phone, and within a few years, the two where hitched!

During the shoot…I asked them what were some of the best things about the other….

Dave said about Wendy: She’s a great mom!

I gotta say that I had a totally giggly, belly laughing, doubling over good time with this couple and I can see why Jenny said they would be a perfect couple for our Nautical Beach Wedding Shoot! They were game for anything!

How cute are these home made scone favors by Jenny Cookies?? So fun for a yummy favor…and i bet the wouldn’t even make it home!

I love the idea of instead of a traditional guest book…pump up the personal factor and have your guests fill out a card with a memory or best wish for you! Throw them in a stack of vintage suitcases and you’ve got a really cool way for guests to participate in your wedding day!

I can’t even tell you how much I love Jenny Cookies Cake Pops! yum yum yum!!! if you are thinking of having a dessert table at your wedding this summer…or next…please do me a favor and call Jenny and order some cake pops. thanks.

Oh how I love these flowers from Stadium Flowers! What a great idea to find your own vintage vases, like these vintage Mason Jars have the Florist do the work.:)  Its a little DIY, and a fun way to personalize your wedding.

Another fabulous idea from Jenny…bring your own tables, desks or dressers to use as cake tables, dessert tables, tables for your guest book or whatever! Ask your venue if its ok…and then make your wedding your own! If you use some of the same colors in your wedding as you do in your house, you can recycle them to side tables or night stands! :) Check out my favorite spot, the Goodwill for some good deals!

OH HOW I LOVE THIS DRESS!!! I know I say it every time, but I do, I do, I do LOVE this dress from the fabulous, From the Gown Up in Snohomish, WA.

These two cracked each other up {and me!!!} the whole time!!! They are some fun peeps!

Ahhhhh! I could hang out at Kayak Point Beach all day, every day! I guess that is why I bought a yearly pass! :)
