September 9, 2014
Last weekend we had the privilege of shooting Jake & Sam’s wedding at Hidden Meadows in Snohomish Washington. It was an absolutely gorgeous day. Their wedding party was super fun and made the day incredible! They are obviously surrounded by friends and family that love them dearly!
Here are just a quick few images from their wedding day!
Lots more from this wedding to come!

Shadow Lake Ranch Wedding | Prosser Rustic Wedding
July 29, 2014
Wiffle Ball, BBQ, Burlap and lots of fun.
We had a great time at Alicia & Ross’s Wedding. We had never been to Shadow Lake Ranch in Prosser, Washington, before, but it was like an amazing oasis in the desert! We drove up through some really crazy rock formations that looked like they were straight out of a Sci-Fi movie….then we hit the ranch and it was just gorgeous. I’m a sucker for old out buildings, fields, big open spaces and not to mention an amazing view of the Yakima River and valley. I fell in love. Shadow Lake Ranch just got jotted down in my little “special wedding venues” notebook (ps…if you are getting married there…we want to shoot it!)
I loved how Alicia and Ross went about planning their day…things that meant something to them…like spending some time alone in prayer and washing each other’s feet during the ceremony (a first in my 10 years of wedding photography and I cried through it! It was so cool!). They also had some fun things like…BBQ (amazing!) and a local band that rocked.
I loved this wedding Gown from Amy’s Bridal in Richland, Washington. I loved that this amazing wedding gown had pockets!! Every wedding gown needs pockets!
I loved these teeny tiny moccasins!!
Friends of the Bride and Groom made this fabulous sign! I loved it so much! What a fun gift to be able to give a bride and groom.
How incredible is this bridal bouquet from Twigs & Petals, (a florist in the Tri Cities)? Complete with succulents and silver/grey dusty miller leaves…I was in love with this when I laid my eyes on this baby! It was absolutely in love with this bouquet.
How gorgeous is this cake from Frost Me Sweet Bakery & Bistro, in Richland, Washington? I loved the texture of the frosting on this cake! So fun! **Just a little plug for one of my FAVORITE restaurants in the Tri Cities!! This was the first bistro that we tried that reminded me of being in Seattle. Their Crab Cakes are to die for….my picky 10 year old orders them for her meal. If you are ever passing through, make sure to stop by Frost Me Sweet and order the Norm Burger on a Gluten Free bun. BLOW YOUR MIND INCREDIBLE! And grab some GF cupcakes for the road. You will be so happy you did.

Tri Cities Wedding Photographer | Lakedale Resort Wedding | Part 1
September 25, 2013I can honestly saw that when I chatted with Jessen’s mom on the phone about a year ago, I knew this wedding was going to be a fun one! She told me about Lakedale Resort on San Juan Island, all of the fun details that Jess and Freddy were planning and just how much fun they were. well..once again, I was blown away. The beauty of San Juan Island was incredible, but these people were seriously fun and inlove!
We had some out of the ordanary things happen on this wedding day…and these two weathered all of them like champs! Just to name a few:
- Bees were swarming the beach at the American Camp beach where Freddy & Jess were going to do their first look…and we didn’t have the epi pen that we needed for Jess. She was so brave!
- We were photo bombed by a total stranger, about .5 seconds after Freddy saw Jess for the first time at the First Look! Luckily, after the whole wedding party and family hollered at him…he got the hint and wondered off!
- There were multiple bees in the bride’s veil and Drew fought them off like a warrior!
- Their sweep pup had some doo-doo issues. I will leave it at that.
They also had some amazing DIY wedding details that I was so excited about! Some of my favorites were:
- Random glass bottles wrapped with twine for centerpiece vases
- Fleece blankets wrapped with string for wedding favors for guests
- Torn fabric garland with random photos of the bride & groom hanging around the reception tent
- driftwood directional signs and handmade wedding arch
Here’s part one of their creative and special wedding day!

Swan’s Trail Farm Wedding | DIY Farm Wedding
September 23, 2013Can I just say…we love our clients!! :) Some of the most fun people I’ve met have been my brides and grooms and Karen and Travis (& Buster!) are no exception! We had serious fun at their Swan’s Trail Farm wedding in August. It was a night to remember…from a sweet Buster Ring Bearer…to the groom singing a Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch song….Good Vibrations! Raise your hands if you remember that one! :) I believe I had the cassette tape! :)
I loved all of Karen & Travis’ fun DIY details! Some of my faves were:
- The burlap runners for the tables
- The Jenga Guest Book
- The clothespin seating chart
- The burlap heart silverware pouches
- the wood block table numbers & pinwheels
- The suitcase card holder
- the glow stick table for the exit (i think most of these glowsticks ended up on the dance floor…which i LOVED!!)
- Buster’s Cake
Such a privilege to be a part of this fabulous day! Thank you Karen & Travis for letting us be a part of your wedding day!!
