Seattle Make-Up Artist | Embellish by Terri | Terri Fields

I love it when things just come together…..and show me what a small world we live in. It happened to me a about a year ago when I met Mrs. Terri Fields: Make-up Artist Extraordinaire….and Personal Stylist,  Jewelry Guru and All things fashion forward and not to mention one of the most positive, uplifting people I know. You leave her presence with a better sense of self and a whole lot of exciting make-up and styling tips!

We met by divine appointment (in my opinion!) and here we have had a mutual friend  in common…my mother! My mom is a Real Estate Agent with Windermere and had sold Terri a house about 10 years ago and my mom has been telling me we needed to meet ever since! And then…one day…we met at a shoot! We instantly clicked and have been doing stylized wedding shoots, Basic to Bombshell and  whatever else we can do together ever since!

Terri is a fabulous Make-Up Artist…the kind that makes you feel beautiful…and then when you look in the mirror, you still look like you…just the best possible version of you! :) She is a firm believer in the magic of wearing Lashes and wears them alot! Don’t be afraid of lashes ladies!! :)

I did a little interview with Terri…so you guys can get to know her…and love her like I do! :) She is available for weddings in 2011 as well as 2012. She will be booking up fast, so make sure to book early!

• What makes you happy? shopping,my 3 dogs, precious grandson, being aound family
• What inspires you? Each season comes a new Trend and colors for
• What do you love about make-up? That I can put a smile on someones face because they have learned a new tip or trick and I gave them confidence to go home and do it themselves.
• Why did you decide to become a Make-up Artist?I was always doing my friends and families makeup in HS and people kept saying I should be in cosmetics, so I applied for Estee Lauder at age 21 and got the job! I will never forget that day!
• Do you have any favorite blogs that you like to read and get ideas from? Oh YES! I love Kandee Johnson she is a makeup artist she has great tutorials and Makeup Geek. I also love Green Wedding Shoes, Style Me Pretty
• How does do you charge? By the hour, flat fee? I charge 150.00 for the Bride that includes a pre makeup session so I can write it all down then the day of the wedding. Bridesmaids,MOB,MOG,etc. are 50.00. If the flowergirls just needs lipgloss and a touch of blush I dont charge for that.
• What if the bride wants something really cheezy or something that just doesn’t really work? That is why we get together ahead of time go over her colors and look at her complection and we can colaborate together on whats best for her. I,m there for her no matter what it is her day!
• Do you ever meet a client and decide that you can’t work with them? That has not happened yet :)
• What are your ideal clients like? The Bride just says “I trust you” which is scary too because you don’t want to disappoint her. I would still discuss what I was going to do.
• How do you decide what kind of make-up to do? It all depends on the time of day it is, and the theme of the wedding {classic,trendy,casual} what we have decided ahead of time too.
• Do you do Mother of the Bride and Wedding Party Make-up too? Yes!! I love doing the whole wedding party.
• How long does wedding make-up take to apply? I like 45 min for the bride and 30 min for everyone else.
• Do you use any special kind of make-up or techniques? I really like to use HD makeup {High Def} for pictures and I LOVE using lashes if they are willing it really makes a big difference in pictures.
