Karlie and I have a lot in common. We both have a love of worship leading, an affinity for sparkle and a thing for great shoes (if you didn’t see their engagement session….she had some amazing shoes for it!) This amazing dress (from one of my favorite local bridal boutiques, From the Gown Up in Snohomish, Washington), was incredible!! I loved all the sparkle and ruffles! It blew me away when Karlie first put it on….she definitely made a grand entrance!! :)

I was loving these gorgeous wedding shoes with a little sparkle! A girls got to have her bling!

This all white bridal bouquet created by Flowers By Tiffany was simply stunning!! I love the little added bling on the stems!

I loved these bridesmaids while bouquets as well! So gorgeous!

I love the moment when a dad gets to see his baby girl all ready in her wedding gown. For some reason in that exact moment, I fast forward 20 years to the day my daughter will get married someday. My husband and my daughter have special relationship and I know its going to be an emotional time for us…just as it was for Karlie and her dad. I loved being able to capture it!

What a sweet brides gift from the groom!

St. James Cathedral Wedding & Reception Seattle | Dena & Cameron Part 2

We had so much fun at Dena & Cameron’s Wedding at St. James Cathedral in Seattle a few weeks ago. If you didn’t happen to see part 1 of this fabulous wedding, click here>. These two were so much fun to hang out with..and then….we met all their family and friends….and they rocked the funbooth! You are going to want to see that!

These two got ready at the classic and beautiful Sorrento Hotel, a few blocks from St. James Cathedral…and had their first look up in their amazing suite. Then we headed over to the Cathedral for pictures with the wedding party and family.

I’ve always wanted to shoot an image of a bride and groom jumping on a bed…and I knew these two would be game! Lovin their shoe choices as well!

Once again, Jenny Keller of Jenny Cookies, did a fabulous job on this Sleeping Beauty inspired dessert table! I love that she used soft lavender cake stands and lots of white and sparkle! I thought the backdrop was perfect and I over heard tons of comments about how tasty these beautiful treats were! The peeps were getting crazy time on the dance floor!!

I just loved that Dena’s parents (married over 30 years!) were cutting a rug on the dance floor!! Lots of love in this family!

Greenlake Engagement Session | these two rocked it!

I love when I shoot an engagement session and I can just tell that the couple is really genuinely happy and are really going to not only last, but have a great marriage….one of those kind of marriages that you like to be around, the kind that makes you remember to appreciate your own spouse more. These two are one of those kind of couples. They are not only relaxed and fun, but they just enjoy life. Glass full kind of people. The go into Pottery Barn and pretend you work there…just for fun kind of people. These are my kind of people.

Today we headed to Greenlake for our engagement session….along with Riley, the sweet and sometimes sassy Golden Retriever. Greenlake has so much to offer! The Lake, trees, buildings…and lots of photo bombing runners. :) Luckily…we got there early, to avoid too many photobombs.

How they met: He came into her hair salon to get man scaped a few times and noticed her. He said in his head…that girl needs to grow out her hair! And low and behold…soon, miss Anne started growing out her hair, which is gorgeous, btw! The rest is history!

Their Wedding: These two crazy cats are getting married at the Georgetown Ballroom in Seattle. I can’t wait for their hot dog stand, ombre bridesmaids dresses and the groomsmen in taylored suits and chucks. It shall be amazing!

Belltown Seattle Engagement Session | Tina & Will

I’m so thankful that the last all of my weddings and engagement session since March have landed on beautiful Seattle sunny (or at least non rainy!) days! Last Saturday I headed to Belltown in Seattle for this engagement session with Will and Tina. What a gorgeous day to be in Downtown Seattle!

Their Engagement Session: These two live in Belltown in an amazing loft space…with an incredible view of the Space needle. We decided to head to the place where they had their first date, Tilikum Cafe. They sat at the exact same table they had on their first date….I loved this idea! How fun to have pictures of the very first start of your relationship. After the cafe, we took a walk around Belltown. So much greenery and trees! I love this area. Then…we headed to the rooftop of their building and it was spectacular! I love the images from the rooftop. It felt like you could reach out and touch the Space Needle. Then we headed to the Olympic Sculpture Park for just a few more images. It was just a fabulous session all around! These guys did an amazing job relaxing in front of the camera!

Sorrento Hotel & St. James Cathedral Wedding| Dena & Cameron Part 1

There are just too many of my favorite images to put in 1 blog post, so here is just part one of this fabulous wedding at St. James Cathedral in Seattle!

The girls got ready at the Sorrento Hotel (only a few blocks from St. James Cathedral!)…and when I arrived, they were happy, chill and ready to take on the day!! :)

Dena’s Gorgeous Alfred Angelo Sleeping Beauty Wedding Gown was all ready hanging, ready for me to shoot! Ahh…I totally gasped and may have shed a tear when I saw it hanging there. It was simply gorgeous!

Of course I went gaga over these blue Manolo Blahnik peep toe heels! What perfect wedding shoes…and something blue!

Again….Chelsea from Flora D’Amore rocked her magic with these fabulous bouquets! I loved this all white bridal bouquet with a little bling added by putting the brooch on the stems!

I loved this little note that Cameron gave Dena with the diamond earings (not shown here…as Dena was super excited to wear them!) Lily….is the name they have picked out for their daughter they will have someday….Dena clarified there is no bun in the oven…yet! :)

The Sorrento Hotel in Seattle is such a great building! I love it so much!

Granite Falls Engagement Session | Danielle & Jason and…Gloria, the Mustang!

I had so much fun in Granite Falls shooting Danielle and Jason. They had so many great ideas…and who knew Granite Falls would ever look so amazing!! Honestly, these two were so much fun and I can’t wait for their wedding in June in Port Gamble (eek!! Can’t wait for this wedding!!!!)

How they met: I loved this story, when I met with Danielle, she shared the full story and it played out just like a movie!…I’ll give you the condensed version! :)

Boy meets girl at a bar.

Boy likes girl.

Boy and girl become friends.

Boy really likes girl and girl isn’t interested.

Boy decides to move on, and brings another girl to the same bar.

At the same time, girl has a change of heart, gets all beautified and heads out to the bar to get herself that boy!

Girl shows up and sees boy with another girl.

Boy still likes girl and flirts with her.

Then…..they dated, got engaged, she got a dress….then they broke up.

Then….they got back together, because it was just meant to be.

Their Engagement Session: When Danielle told me about Gloria (their classic 68 Mustang) I knew I had to shoot her. I decided that we should start out at their house, shoot this fabulous car, and move on from there. Luckily, the sun came out right on cue and we literally walked across the street to a green belt, and headed around the corner for the rest of the shoot.

Their Wedding: I cannot wait for this wedding at St. Pauls at Port Gamble! Its going to be super fun day….after getting to hang out with these two, I know that the day will be so much fun….and the venue…oh man! I have driven through Port Gamble a few times and I have drooled over the places to shoot there…finally…it shall be mine!!

So…these two are San Francisco 49ers fans.

Ah….Everyone meet Gloria! She is a Mustang…and she’s lovely. She needs some tlc, but I love that they let me use her in this shoot! I figured if she was going to be a member of the family, she deserved to be a part of the engagement session! I just love muscle cars. They make me happy!

I asked them to write each other a message….

I asked them to write their favorite things about the other person!

I love it when the sun comes out…On this day, I hadn’t seen the sun’s rays for a few days…so I was a little obsessed with sun flare….its just so pretty!

St. James Cathedral Seattle Wedding | Dena & Cameron Sneak Peek!

Let me tell you just how excited I was when I was contacted by Cameron about his April Wedding. My heart literally skipped a beat when he told me that the wedding had a Sleeping Beauty theme and the bride would be wearing the Alfred Angelo Sleeping Beauty Princess Wedding Gown! Then….when he mentioned that it was going to be at the St. James Cathedral in Seattle (read about my love for St. James Cathedral here)…I could just picture that amazing dress, in that amazing Cathedral and I think I may have just shed a tear thinking about it! Then when I heard that my dear friend and fabulous dessert table artist, Jenny Cookies was going to be doing the Sleeping Beauty themed Dessert Table, Chelsea from Flora D’Amore was doing the flowers and then…the couple won a package from Its Your Day Events & Expressions…I knew this day would not only go off without a hitch, it would be so incredible to photograph!

Here are just a few from our fabulous day (yay for sunshine in April!). Tons more to come!

I have to give credit to the groom on the picture above! This was completely his idea…and a great one!
