I knew there was something special about Angelika & Ethan when we first met them up in Leavenworth at the Ski Hill to shoot their engagement photos. They are just kind, fun people…who happened to be in love with each other. They were game to climb hills of snow and stuff….so I knew they would be wonderful to work with on their wedding day…and of course I was correct!
I loved starting out their day at a vacation home right on Hood Canal, called Sky’s Landing. It was full of light, right on the water and had a wonderful, but not overdone beachy theme. I loved it and pretty much could retire in that house without touching a thing. :) *** Brides!!!*** Angelika was a total genius when she booked this vacation home…you should think about doing it too! Find one on the water, somewhat close to your venue and you have a fabulous place for getting ready photos and somewhere for you and your girls to crash the night before the wedding, after the rehearsal dinner.( Another one of my amazing genius brides did this on Lopez Island and it worked like a charm for her as well! Check out her wedding her…one of my favorites from last summer!!! )
Not everyone in the world has a great “laughing face”…..but Angelika’s laughing face just lights up a room!!
I LOVED her bejeweled Betsy Johnson sandals…they say…comfy, without sacrificing style!
I’m in love with the bridesmaid’s minty tiffany blue lace dresses! They were perfect for this outdoor wedding!
I am in love with these gorgeous peony bouquets….summery and fun!
I’m so obsessed with local honey and all of its amazing benefits lately…I was so excited when I saw their darling and useful favors!! So fun!!

Can the burst suggest an orchestral microprocessor?

Here is just a teeny tiny sneak peek from a fabulously chevrony elegant, but not stuffy wedding we got to be a part of in Seattle in the Atrium Loft above Pike Place Market! One of the most unique views of the Pike Place Market sign I have ever seen…and I had no idea it was even there! The rain didn’t have anything on us that day…I mean…It wouldn’t be a Seattle Pike Place Market wedding without a few rain drops, right??
I was just dying over the cool wood paneled walls in the Goodwin Library. Amy warned me….that I would love the walls and the light in the place…and of course, she was so right!!! I walked in and was in awe of the cool view, the walls and the amazing light coming in through all of the gorgeous windows! She knew what she was talking about!
So, here are just a few of my favorite images from just after the first look! Lots more of these to come!!

DIY Bothell Backyard Wedding | Turquoise & Yellow Wedding
August 15, 2012
These two are the real deal. Liane & Jimmy are two people in love. I almost couldn’t get Liane to stay in the bridal room long enough for me to get all the shots. When we asked her a question…all she could say was, “I just wanna see Jimmy! I don’t care…” She was darling and just couldn’t stand being away from her soon to be husband. She walked barefoot down the aisle and I had to make her put shoes on for our trek through the black berry bush filled field! She was a trooper and was ready for anything…even jumping in the pool after the reception! I loved all off her DIY fun burlap, and turquoise details. my fave!!!

I love a good DIY wedding. The kind like this amazing Circus themed wedding Reception. When we arrived at Bethany Assembly for the wedding, we were greeted by a proud father of the bride who said, ” I think you might want to see this!” He opened the doors to the reception area and I literally gasped. Then I cried. It was such a gorgeous sight! Pretty white lights in the shape of a circus canopy over head, tiffany blue and yellow paper lanterns everywhere, tables centerpieces of tin buckets, peanuts, tickets and lollipops. Customized jones soda in the perfect shade of blue, an amazing set of circus games, snowcones, popcorn and cotton candy! I mean, who has cotton candy at their wedding???!!! I was so stinking happy!
I wanted to share just a few more of these wedding images! ! Lots more images to come!
I loved these handmade Pinwheels…another fabulous DIY wedding project by the bride! Want to know how to make pinwheels for your wedding? Click here>. I loved the added peanuts and tickets. Those two items together just say circus to me!
What a great idea! I love the idea of having a honeymoon fund to your reception! And who could turn down one as cute as this!
They had all kinds of circus games for little kiddos and adults to play! I loved this duck fishing idea!
Seriously. Such a gorgeous fun reception!
If you are having a DIY wedding, I would love to shoot it! They are my FAVORITE!!! :) Now taking bookings for 2013 weddings! Please contact me and tell me all about your ideas! I want to hear all of them!!
