Here are just a few of my favorites from Maura & Kyle’s amazing downtown Seattle Wedding. I loved that it was Modern, fun and just a touch of nautical elements, without being cheesy. It was so lovely!

We started out the day…Maura & her girls at her sister’s fun loft apartment (read….TONS of amazing light!!) and then headed to South Lake Union park and MOHAI. This was such a perfect location…it had all of the right elements. Lots of water, boats, some green and the MOHAI building has a vintage feel. Very Seattle.

Then we headed to the amazing new(ish) uber modern wedding venue, Within Sodo* (*note to self…and other wedding photographers: DO NOT go though downtown seattle from Mercer to Sodo the day of a Paul McCartney Concert. )

I am in love with this new venue! It has SUCH a great rooftop deck…it was glorious, breezy and the perfect place for cocktail hour and dancing!

I loved that Maura was a total trooper and wanted to walk in her amazingly fluffy and gorgeous ballerina wedding gown a few blocks to the MOHAI.

So when I heard that Richard and Katy were getting married at the Seattle Public Library…I gasped and was jumping up and down inside. I think it has been one of my dreams to photograph a wedding at this amazing Seattle Wedding Venue….what?  Wedding venue?? Yes! They actually do weddings at that  incredible structure in downtown Seattle. If you have never been there, it is a must see….experience and savor.

Ok…enough about the Seattle Library, on to Winston the super docile lab who was super well behaved…..until he saw a squirrel…then he was on a mission to get that darn thing!

We had so much fun shooting their engagement session at Marymoor Park.…my 2nd time to my new favorite park! I loved that Richard and Katy met on a site called OK Cupid. If you could see them, you would see just how well online dating really works! Theirs will be the 5th online dating wedding so far, so I have to say that online dating really works! I think it probably depends on your personality, the actually online dating sight and how honest you are….but I love that if you are a busy working person, and  you don’t have time for dating in person, you can at least possibly get to know the good stuff about a person online before getting out of your pjs. :)
