OH. MY. GOODNESS!!! I have to say that ever since I met Tara & Robert last….(October??) I imagined what their wedding day would actually be like. They are cool, laid back, yet still passionate about a few things…one being beer. I mean, I shot their engagement session at their favorite Bellingham watering hole, The Boundary Bay Brewery.  It was wonderful.

Anyway…..I have been dreaming about yesterday since I met them…and their wedding day did not disappoint! It was such a personal, beautiful, wonderfully thoughtful wedding, chock full of lovely details that point straight to the fact that these two people are so inlove! I loved every second of it. I just had so much fun, I had to talk about it!

One of my absolute favorite things of the night was the way their crazy guests went nuts in the FunBooth Photobooth! It was great! Manned by one of our new 3rd Photographers, Jen Milham, she helped to capture how hilarious and radical these peeps were!!!

I love color. I do. I can’t help it. It just makes me happy. Especially on gloomy, rainy western Washington days. There’s nothing like a little color to brighten my day.  Fast forward to yesterday when, much to my surprise and delight, Matt showed up for his Senior Session with his bright yellow (his declared favorite color) hoodie and a turquoise hat (my declared favorite color). Together against the grey sky and hard texture walls, they were a feast for the eyes….and its just made me happy! Yay! We braved the rain and thanks to my lovely assistant (thanks Cheri!) and a willing senior, and 2 HUGE umbrellas, you would never guess in the images that it was a classic rainy Washington day.  Thanks Matt for toughing out the cold! So last night I got to spend some time with…..a fellow ex-cheerleader. I decided to share with her my reoccuring dream problem. I usually have some version of this dream every 3 months. Here goes….Its fall and we are about to head out to cheer at the first football game….Then AHHHHHHHH!!! I remember that we haven’t had any practices all summer and I freak out! What are we going to do? We don’t know any cheers!!! Sounds devistating, I know. Weird. I don’t know why I have these recurring dreams, if you have any ideas…please, by all means, let me know!!

Anyway! I had such a great time meeting Jade, laughing and squeezing in some photographs too!:) We had a fun tromping around the fields and me almost falling off my stool!  Thank goodness the rain held off!

Ok….so could these two love birds be any cuter?  I had such a great time shooting my friends, Josh (amazing worship leader at my totally rad  church) and Katie (spanish speaking goddess).  Katie said she was nervous…you can’t tell from these shots! :) We dashed all around one of my favorite locations for some engagement shots (Stay tuned in August for their cooler than cool wedding pics!)

Sisters. I didn’t have one growing up. I have 2 great sister-in-laws now, but I think it must be different when they are your own flesh & blood. The sharing/fighting over clothes, the blunt opinions and someone that you can tell everything to….this is what I imagine having a sister is like. Enter Heather & April. 18 months apart…what was their mama thinkin? :) They were so fun, so happy and made me want a sis of my own!  One in her Bestey Johnson dress….the other in her comfy bath robe….:) What a fun session this was for me! Thanks for being so fun girls!
